Life changes and, nowadays, the way we meet partners has also changed. In the Internet you can find online-dating sites, such as "Meetic" or "E-Darling", where people of similar interests can be found.
This doesn't mean you're going to find "Mr Right" but finding people with the same interests that we have is easier. You can get in contact with them being comfortably at home, being you, relaxed, and, the most important thing, dating when you choose, when you decide. Having the screen in front of you is like a protection. You can't touch the other person (neither can't he) unless you arrange a date.
But, before this step comes along, you can find out many things about your partner: what his hobbies are, what he likes most, what he expects about your relationship... You can even talk to him by Skype, which is another step to get to know eachother.
In conclusion, I would say that if the purpose is the meet people, the Internet is an easy way to do it. But remember, no body guarantees your success. That's for sure!
